I-95 Exit 9 Southbound ON and OFF-ramps and Northbound ON-ramps CLOSED

The weekend detour for the Route 1 Bridge Replacement Project over I-95 in Stamford has begun. I-95 Exit 9 Southbound ON and OFF-ramps and Northbound ON-ramps are CLOSED. Route 1 is also CLOSED between Courtland Ave and Seaside Ave.

The contractor, O & G Industries, will now begin converting the ramps into a temporary, two-lane roadway for vehicles to travel around the construction zone while the Route 1 bridge is replaced.

At 9 PM the Exit 9 Northbound OFF-ramp will CLOSE. I-95 motorists will be DETOURED onto two-lane temporary roadways located at the ON and OFF ramps, right next to the construction area. Thru travelers do not need to use local roads to get to their destination when I-95 is closed.

All roads, I-95 and Route 1, will be re-opened by 5 AM on Monday, June 10th.

EXPECT LONG DELAYS AND AVOID THE AREA IF POSSIBLE.

Construction will be live streamed on the project website, www.i95exit9.com. Check the website throughout the weekend.
